The fall sun made these intense shadows on a stained glass window in my studio. The colors are mostly the shadows and I was amazed. I keep seeing new and different patterns everywhere.

These are the most recent of the new photos I’ve put up on my Instagram Gallery. I’ve learned so much about light working on this project. The autumn light is so different and the shadows fall completely differently (if you are shooting at about the same time when you go out). It’s had a profound effect on how I see.

I saw the palm reflected in the window with the pandemic shadows and it was perfect. The reflection and the shadows created a reality that was exquisitely striking.

I’ve decided to sell the photos at a “pandemic price” of $100 for signed archival GiclĂ©e prints. (Email me to the website if you are interested.)

I was walking and saw these brilliant red leaves in the shadows on the sidewalk and they were magic. So here is my fall pandemic shadow image with fallen leaves.
Now it’s winter light and it is changing again and then in a few days when the days get slowly longer it will start slowly to be different again. I am loving the complex experience of this work and the joy it brings me in the midst of lockdown.
