Serious food sculptures are an art form new to us. We aren’t exactly sure what these fascinating food sculptures are doing on a site that seems to be mostly devoted to humor in poor taste –most of them would actually taste pretty good. (Warning: one shows a whole fish and one a whole bird with head and feathers–if you’ll find those upsetting, don’t click the link.) My personal favorites are the cabbage with olives and the various cabbages and cruciforms which remind me of a Victorian lady on a fainting couch.

This reminded me of something Laurie and I found while doing web research for a post a month or so ago: seriously beautiful tea sculptures that unfold into natural art when brewed.
