Big Moves in San Francisco

As ardent supporters of Big Moves, the spearhead of the fat dance movement, we wanted to pass along this performance announcement.

Five years running for a dance series is a big deal. Five years for a fat dance series is an even bigger deal. Find out why when Bodies in Motion, the first dance concert series in the world to showcase plus-size dancers, returns for its triumphant fifth season on Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15, at the new CounterPULSE performance space (1310 Mission Street) in San Francisco. The program features Mass Movement in world premieres of works by Chris Black and Ann Woodhead, along with guest artist Alexandra Beller from New York. A free post-performance reception follows each night.

  1. I’ve heard about Big Moves a few times on your site and they look great… I was wondering if they do any travelling or have any sister groups anywhere else (for those of us ex-Berkeley-ites currently in the Pacific NW, for example). I checked their site also, but haven’t been able to find any info.
