Reading this reminded me of raising my daughters and dealing with many of the same issues. I really admire the way you’re working with them and the women around you.

I think it’s absolutely wonderful that you’re giving girls tools to understand a hostile world, rather than simply telling them not to listen, or that they’re beautiful – it’s hard to maintain that self-belief in the face of all external evidence, for most people. “There’s something wrong with the world” is a far better idea than “there’s something wrong with me.”
